Utility Locates Coordination

The purpose of utility coordination is to ensure the safe and efficient identification of underground utilities. This ensures and generate packages for field use to prevent accidental damages of these underground utilities during construction, excavation, or any digging related activities.

In Ontario, submitting a ticket for a single dig area can involve identifying between 5 to 20 underground utilities. Securing clearances for each utility can be time consuming. Without careful coordination, some clearances may be missed, potentially jeopardizing work deadlines and posing risks to existing utilities.

Utility Locate Markings

The purpose of the locate marking is to outline the precise location of utilities located in your dig area. Ontario One call has introduced the Designated Locator service to enhance efficiency and safer job sites.

This service allows project owners to have a Designated Locator on site, streamlining the marking process for all underground infrastructure within a project area. Implementing a Designated Locator can lead to improved productivity, reduced downtime, and enhanced control over locate scheduling. It is a valuable solution for large scale or long term projects with complex requirements. We are planning to integrate this service into our offerings in the near future.
